In its latest contribution to society, the CBS reality show Survivor has announced that in its upcoming season the competing teams will be chosen according to race, much to the concern of US minority rights organisations.

She put me on to the 'Survivor' story, for which I thank her. My chosen survivor, to whom I introduced myself this evening (she lives about a mile down the road — give or take one or two shopfronts), just happens to share a similar name.
