Five Israelis are arrested around 4:30 pm for “puzzling behavior” related to the WTC attacks: filming the burning WTC from the roof of their company’s building near Liberty State Park, New Jersey, then shouting in what was interpreted as cries of joy and mockery. A neighbor spotted them and called the police and the FBI. The police tracked them down in a van with the words “Urban Moving Systems” written on the side. [Bergen Record, 9/12/2001; Ha'aretz, 9/17/2001] One man was found with $4,700 in cash hidden in his sock, another had two passports on him, and a box cutter was found in the van. [ABC News, 6/21/2002] Investigators say that “[t]here are maps of the city in the car with certain places highlighted… It looked like they’re hooked in with this. It looked like they knew what was going to happen.” [Bergen Record, 9/12/2001] One of these Israelis later says, “our purpose was to document the event.” [ABC News, 6/21/2002] The FBI later concludes at least two are Mossad agents and that all were on a Mossad surveillance mission. The FBI interrogates them for weeks. [Forward, 3/15/2002] They are held on immigration violation charges, but are released 71 days later. [ABC News, 6/21/2002] Their names are later identified as Sivan and Paul Kurzberg, Oded Ellner, Omer Marmari, and Yaron Shmuel. [Forward, 3/15/2002]

The Bush-Cheney regime is America’s first neoconservative regime. In a few short years, the regime has destroyed the Bill of Rights, the separation of powers, the Geneva Conventions, and the remains of America’s moral reputation along with the infrastructures of two Muslim countries and countless thousands of Islamic civilians. Plans have been prepared, and forces moved into place, for an attack on a third Islamic country, Iran, and perhaps Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon as well.



The Bush-Cheney regime came to power with the plans drawn to attack the remaining independent countries in the Middle East and with neoconservatives in office to implement the plans. However, an excuse was required. Neoconservatives had called for "a new Pearl Harbor," and 9/11 provided the propaganda event needed in order to stampede the public and Congress into war. Neoconservative Philip Zelikow was put in charge of the 9/11 Commission Report to make certain no uncomfortable facts emerged.



When the American people caught on that the "war on terror" was a cloak for wars of aggression, they put Democrats in control of Congress in order to apply a brake to the regime’s warmongering. However, the Democrats have proven to be impotent to stop the neoconservative drive to wider war and, perhaps, world conflagration. We are witnessing the triumph of a dozen evil men over American democracy and a free press.

Best piece I've read in a long time.

A dummy's guide to end times scripted by crazed freaks with parboiled brains. In particular, I like Roberts's open approach to 911 which, worldwide, is coming to be accepted as an inside job — a shocking charade of unimaginable evil and mind-numbing simplicity, orchestrated by those steering the Bush Regime.

No longer need Bruce, or other USians of conscience, feel so alone...

But perhaps focusing on the Pearl Harbor incident detracts from the article's merit. It's pithy and, without pointing too far into the future, i.e. China, Russia, and the collapse of the dollar, gives the lowdown on what's up in 1,000 words.

Like good Germans, Americans have lost their country. And a whole lot more...

By the way, George Galloway's piece in the Guardian, These orchestrated attacks on Chávez are a travesty, is a damned good, cost-effective response to the over-the-top, million-dollar rhetoric pumping from the U.S. media machine.

For a couple of minutes, it clears the stench of US-opean foreign policy and makes a better world seem feasible.
