Note: Some of the images behind the top photograph above may predate the current Israeli slaughter in Gaza. One does. I uploaded this image, also present here, on 17 April 2005 — my memory's obviously not that far gone. I believe it comes from the July 23, 2002 assassination in Gaza of Hamas's military chief, Sheikh Salah Shahada, by a missile fired from an F-16.
Nine children died in the massacre of 15 people.
But we should not pretend — because of this exception and because these French and Arabic pages might well state they contain images from earlier war crimes in Gaza, that Hamas indulges in a propaganda more devious than that of the Israeli spinmeisters. A need to embellish unimaginable horror can only stem from that horror not being heeded.
And it's not heeded. The horror is sponsored, facilitated, financed, and fueled by those to whom Hamas appeals, i.e. the West.
