I heard an item on the radio a couple of weeks back. Apparently we're down to about 270 Chacma baboons on the Cape Peninsula. It's a fucking disgrace.
But on to more important things.

There's only so much you can do with a straight digital. It's like taking photographs with a cheap cellphone. Then again, would I swap my kids for a Canon EOS 450 with a 300 or 400 mm lens?

Anyway, these are for surf fiend and movie maker, Hugh du Toit. Jo'burg's loss was our gain. It was a hell of a lot bigger and far cleaner out back, Hugh, but even with a doubler, I couldn't pick the good from the bad and I've a lot of junk on my hard drive.

Sunday afternoon, the swell started breaking at what looked to be 18 - 20' after wrapping around Judas Peak and over Batsata Rock. The Smitswinkel residents had to hoik their boats as far up the shore as they could. They lost several to the storm.
