Yeah, we work in the city. Pinstripe suits, ties, alligator-skin shoes. Come lunch though...
My colleague, Dave, is weird. Whereas I went out and bought a skateboard a couple of years ago, he's made one. It's a longboard, around 46", and it has a deck made to break heads. Heavy as it is, it's flexible and perfectly shaped for maneuvering or bombing. He adapted a set of trucks and another colleague brought a set of 70mm wheels out from the States. Dave threw it together earlier this week and we've been trying it out in the parking garage during our lunch break.

A surfer, he's built his own sandboard and, for all I know, surfboard as well. A natural-born hellfiend. You get 'em. He took a look at the slope, checked out the dust, eyed the corner at the bottom and took off. Hey, what can go wrong? A couple of our colleagues who've tried the board have yet to join us in breaking in Dave's wheels. Tod did. I believe he got what's called a 'roaster' and he wasn't out at lunchtime today. But we'll work on him...
We work in the city. Pay's up to maggots but it's a good company — Google without the money. Lotta smart people. Weird too. In the best possible way.
They gave Al Gore the Nobel Peace Prize? Can you believe that? Fucking hell! What is the world coming to?
