Dead Pope Fixes U.S. Grand Prix

Late Pope fixes U.S. Grand PrixIn a remarkable return to form, the late Pope John Paul II (aka 'The God Father') came good on his blessing of the Scuderia Ferrari team late last year (see post below), handing eight-times world champion Michael Schumacher and team-mate Rubens Barrichello an unlikely one-two victory at the United States Grand Prix earlier today.

With a ten-point haul at the Brickyard and a new car due for the French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours in two weeks' time, Schumacher must again be considered a championship contender.

Ferrari's remarkable victory, ostensibly made possible by the non-participation of fourteen cars running Michelin tyres (ruled unsafe by the manufacturer), is viewed by many as a sign that the ongoing struggle for control of the Jesus Bunker—between JPII, Father Christopher and God's Rottweiller, Ratzo, is not yet over.

Needless to say, this sleight of hand by JPII further cements my faith—and reputation as a good Catholic boy down at the Jesus Bunker.

"The bastard," howled Father Christopher, slumping in his pontifical chair. "How'd he do it? I mean, this is fucking unprecedented."

My Spiritual Guide and Mentor (SG&M) looked decidedly sick. But he is not alone. I smirked. "Indeed. But, then again, we know he is prepared to work in mysterious and decidedly twisted ways."

The late Pontiff is known to favour Schumacher—as is Ratzo (a German), but Father Christopher has put his considerable resources on a battle between Raikonnen and Alonso.

Who will come out on top? God alone knows.
